How much does the rotary drive of a rotary attachment wear out?
How much the rotary drive of a rotary attachment wears out depends on the application. If the rotatable attachment is aligned and material is moved without rotation, wear on the rotator gearbox is minimal. If the rotary drive (rotator gear) is actively working in the material, the wear is greater.
Does the carrier machine need its own control system for rotary attachments?
No, the machine, i.e. the excavator, needs a free additional circuit or, in the best case, an M-Quick quick coupler in order to be able to start work immediately.
