Yes, the Martin grabbers are very suitable for continuous use in handling. However, we recommend the use of a cylinder with temperature management, which ensures a maximum service life for the grabber, rotator and machine by guaranteeing constant oil temperatures in the grabber. This system is available for grabbers over 8 tons.
Why is no rotator holding torque specified for the grabbers?
In our grabbers, we use rotators that are designed for high speeds and high torque at the same time. The rotators are deliberately not designed to be self-locking in order to increase safety. This design helps to avoid potential overloads or damage to the grabber and carrier machine, as the rotator's freedom of movement prevents excessive forces from being transferred to the equipment.
