  • Which parts of an excavator bucket wear out the fastest?
    The cutting edge and the teeth on a bucket get the most wear. If a lot of wear is expected in advance, it makes sense to use replaceable blades. Tooth tips are interchangeable anyway. The side blades and back can wear, but it is the back wear that indicates that the blade or teeth are not being used.

  • Are reinforced excavator buckets more cost effective in the long run?
    It only makes sense to use reinforced and armored buckets if they are used accordingly. The service life and wear resistance of MARTIN buckets is already optimally configured for conventional use.

  • How much does the rotary drive of a rotating attachment wear out?
    That depends on the application. If the rotatable attachment is aligned and material is moved without rotation, wear on the rotator gearbox is minimal. If the rotary drive (rotator gearbox) is actively working in the material, the wear is greater.

  • Does the carrier device need its own control system for rotary attachments?
    No, the machine, i.e. the excavator, needs a free additional circuit or, ideally, an M-Quick quick coupler to be able to start work immediately.
